Thankfully we weren't in the hospital for baby. The babe is perfect, it's the mama who isn't. I was diagnosed with gallstones prior to this pregnancy but at the time it wasn't bad enough to operate. Now it is, but the complications and risk to the baby are too high and I have wait until her birth to have gallbladder surgery. The babe is completely unaware and unaffected by the gallstones but it makes it very, very painful for me. As long as I'm healthy after delivery, they will do the gallbladder surgery before I leave the hospital. So if all goes well, I'll leave the hospital with +1 baby and -1 gallbladder!

Who needs a gallbladder anyway when you'll have a beautiful baby girl in your arms!
