This was a big day for us. We were scared, as we always were a this point, but our last round of bloodwork was somewhat positive, so we held on to a small shred of hope.
We were hoping at this point for at least a 200 for the hCG, which would have been a doubling from two days ago. Day Two of bloodwork and our numbers were as follows:
- hCG level - 338 !!!
- progesterone - 30
This was the first time in five pregnancies that we've ever had numbers double. To say that we were happy is an understatement. All of our fears were not magically relieved - if anything in some ways it made it worse because now we finally had good news and, in our minds, that just meant that the bad news was right around the corner.
